The other night me my wife a kids went to a Japanese steak house. Its a very nice resturant where the chefs coor the food right in front of you. Its always jammed packed. The wait time is normally 4 hours. I call ahead to make sure we arent waiting that long. The food is so good. They use all kinds of cooking oils and alcohol to cook the food. They spray the grill and then light it on fire. You will actually feel all the heat right on your face. The chef puts on a great performance.

I normally order fried rice, chicken, shrimp, and lobster. My food cost about $60 a plate. It is so good and it taste so clean and light. My wife orders the salmon and the sauce is so good that I normally sneak a few peices. My three sons go wild when we go there. They order what ever they want. My 14 year old sone Adriene orders double lobster and he eats it all. They eat like horses!

Afterward we hit our favorite spot, Barnes and Noble! Everyone buys stacks of books and I normally get a leather journal. The one that I just got was $65 but there is one that they are out of that I just got to have. It’s about $90. Khayri, my youngest, tries to buy a rocket every time but I keep telling him no! Khalil wants to try to sneak in a Pokemon book every now and then. Ro (my pet name for my wife Rochelle) always has her wide range of topics that she like to stay on top of.

At the end of the night with dinner and a trip to the book store our total tab is about $750. Its always a great outing and we do it once a week. The entire area is always loaded with shoppers spending money. No one is home huddling around the fire.

Dont believe all that you hear on the news and dont let it prevent you from taking action. You can have the life you deserve. You have to get tough.

Recently I was in a resturant and I saw an old gym buddy of mine. We were excited to see each other and instantly began to talk about old times. He asked me how my martial arts school was doing. But he had a surprised look on his face when I said its going great!

He said man I would really like to start my business as a personal trainer.  But I need a location  and I can’t seem to find one. He also said I dont know how to get inside to see them. He said even if I call the numbers no one will ever return my call.

I ask well what areas have you been looking at. So he named a few places and I said well I have checked those areas and they are extremely expensive. I told him I could give you some advice to help you but I am not sure if I want to. He asked why? I told him I would normally charge $2500 for a one hour consult. I said the money is about making sure the person was ready to receive the advice (something I learned from Tony Robbins). I said I would give it to you for free if you follow it. He said shoot I am ready.

Here is what I would suggest if I were you:

1 Contact a comerical real estate broker. I gave him the name of a company that I used with much success.

2 I would get that broker to show me some places that I would like to house my business.

3 …

Before I could go on I saw the self doubt come through. I saw the fear all over his face.

He said I can’t afford it. I said afford what. A broker, he said. I said well they will get with you and show you around for months without you paying them a dime. They will get their money from the landlord that you lease from. So it wont be any money out of your pocket.

Guess what happened? He ran out of the resturant and gave a good bye wave as he left. I mean he just turned around split.

I saw him start to tremble while we were talking but hey I thought he might be cold or something. LOL I was ready to pull out my cell and give him several of my contacts that took me years to find if he asked.

We have to be mentally in line with what we say we want. Thats where it starts! That is what will pull you through when challenges arise. When our minds are tuned to the right mental station those gems will be starring us right in the face.

The Grandmaster

I just got home from a Maryland Real Estate Secrets Gold meeting that was lead by Thad Winston but hosted by Lloyd and Vicki Irvin.

All I can say is WOW!

You have to surround yourself with positive minded people. And tonight the room was packed with them. Everyone was asking outstanding questions and giving tons of information about their own personal experience.

This is another terrific program put together by Master Lloyd and The Real Estate Investment Queen Vicki Irvin.

I left full of energy and totally pumped.

These are the people that you want to be around if you want positive things to happen for you. Master Lloyd always says if you hang out with nine broke people then you are the tenth. You are who you hang out with. So if you listen to the radio all day, read junk magazines, and hang out with a bunch of negative people then you wont be successful. And we all know who they are. We can tell when we are around them and we feel tired when they leave. Like they have sucked all of the energy out of our bodies. Dan Kennedy calls them time vampires.

Surround yourself with positive minded people and information. This will help short cut your way to success. I have learned how to cut those negative people and influences out of my life and I can help you cut them out of your as well.

I took the family out tonight for a fun evening. I asked the kids where they wanted to go and before I could even give them their choices they yelled out Barnes and Noble! I was glad that was their choice because that is exactly where I wanted to go.

We got the jackets on and headed out. It was so windy and cold that I wanted to turn around and go right back in to the house. When we got to the book store I got a call from my good friend and web designer, Lenny. My wife Rochelle and the kids jumped out of the truck and ran in to the book store like maniacs. Lenny updated me on the new web changes and then I headed in to the book store.

I started at the magazines and worked my way to the back of the store where I knew everyone would be sitting. Now I had about ten magazines and seven to ten books. I was feeling really good because some tittles I could find previously I now had in hand,

When I got to the back of the store where the kids section and most of the chairs are I saw my wife and each one of my kids with stacks of books in front of them actively reading. That site brought a nice smile to my face and then the thought came, “How much is all this going to cost?” But we all sat and shared excerpts from each of the books we were interested in and put the books we weren’t back to the middle of the table.

Once we got to the checkout counter the total came to $324.96, wow came out of my mouth. My six year old Khayri look at me and said daddy would you like to put one of my books back? No son I said, but what I felt inside was that all had some great books to fill our minds with.

We hit the book store a couple of times a month like this. I read extensively to try to bring as much value to the businesses and customers that I service. I spend my money and time each day reading and researching so my clients wont have to and I can make the process of you attaining success that much easier. I want to stay on top of all the latest information and trends so we stay up to date.

If you aren’t plugged into someone who will bring you the latest information and you are not spending the money or the time to buy the material then you are doing yourself a big disservice.

I was with members of my master mind on February 29 , 2008 for 10 straight hours. There were no games or playing around. Either you are ready or your not. When you are locked in a room for that length of time with serious minded people you cant hide. And when you are in the hot seat (that is where have to stand in front of your group for one hour and talk about your progress over the last month) no excuses are excepted.

It can be a blow when your peers start in on you. Now, its always with love but the point that I want to drive home is its a No B.S. meeting! You cant jive serious minded people that long. You have to work everyday on your business or products to be ready by the next meeting.

To be successful you have to plan your work and work your plan. It doesn’t matter what level or position you’re at right now. You have to get your thoughts in order and take  not just massive action but the right action.

But first each person has to get clear on what they want for themselves. I know everyone wants to be successful and have money. But how clear of a goal is that!

What if you had the best status and millions of dollars but were terminally ill. Okay so we have to get really clear on what we want.
